Calgary lies west of the meridian its clocks follow (UTC−7), so the Sun, and with it the first planetary hour, runs about 36 minutes behind the clock: noon by the Sun comes near 12:36 PM standard time.
Clocks in Calgary go forward an hour on Mar 8. The planetary hours follow the Sun, so the hours themselves don't move; only their clock times jump by an hour overnight.
